Support

Product information and support.

Viva the Beaver is preparing for its first public macOS release. It takes finished video, lets you pick the shots you need, and exports storyboard documents for reviews and production meetings.

Pre-launch support information · Updated September 20, 2026

What the app does

Viva detects cuts in finished video, lets you choose representative frames, and organizes them into a storyboard with cut numbers, timecodes, and notes.

It does not edit or re-cut the video.

Current outputs

  • PDF storyboard documents
  • Editable PowerPoint (PPTX)
  • Selected frames as JPG images

PDF Share is a user-invoked online feature planned for the commercial release. It remains unavailable until the entitlement proof and production-service release gate are complete. Local exports do not depend on Share.

Trial

At launch, the in-app trial will not require an account.

It will allow seven successful PDF exports. Cancelled or failed saves will not consume an export. Trial PDFs will include a Viva trial watermark / attribution. The exact watermark wording, size, and position may change before release.

Local-first workflow

Video analysis and the core storyboard workflow run locally on the Mac. The original video is not uploaded as part of the planned PDF Share flow.

When PDF Share is commercially enabled and you explicitly use it, only the generated PDF is uploaded for link-based sharing. Local PDF, PowerPoint, and JPG exports work independently of Share.

Platform

The first public release is for macOS. Windows and mobile versions are future directions and are not currently available.

Supported macOS versions and processor requirements will be published with the release build.

Purchase and license

The desktop app is planned as a one-time software purchase rather than a recurring subscription.

Device activation limits differ by license type. Final Personal and Business activation terms will be published before paid release.

Final price, checkout URL, and license wording will be published at release.

Contact

A public support email address will be added here before commercial launch.

Until then, this page documents the current product behavior and support scope without publishing an unconfirmed contact address.
